15 Weeks!!

I've changed the check-in a little.  It has a few more questions!
  1. How far along?: 15 weeks.
  2. How big is baby?: Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds.
  3. Weight gain?: Still down -9 lbs.
  4. Stretch marks?: None yet.
  5. Maternity clothes?: I'm wearing my maternity pants, although they are too big (pre-pregnancy jeans aren't working anymore) and maternity shirts. I think that I do have a little belly now. :)
  6. Best moment last week?:  I might have felt baby move 2 or 3 times.  Not 100% sure though.
  7. Food cravings?: Nothing this week.
  8. Symptoms?:Still sick.  This week has been bad.  I've taken Zofran most days. I was hoping it would be better by now but I think this is my new normal!
  9. Exercise?: None.
  10. Gender?: Unknown
  11. Movement?: Not sure.
  12. Belly button?: Still in.
  13. What I miss?: Nothing this week.
  14. Labor signs?: Better not have these yet.
  15. What I'm looking forward to?: The anatomy scan in a few weeks.

14 weeks!

How far along? 14 weeks
Weight gain/loss: -9 lbs.
Feeling: Hungry and tired.  Still having nausea and vomiting every couple days.
Maternity clothes? Maternity shirts and pre-pregnancy jeans still..
Sleep: Some days I am tired during the day. I sleep in 4-6 hour blocks during the night and then I'm awake for 1-2 hours.  Really annoying!!
Food cravings: Nothing yet.
Movement? No, too early.

What I miss? Nothing yet.
Best moment this week: We went to Eastern WA for outhouse races.  It was snowy and beautiful but really cold (8*).
What I'm looking forward to: Planning a weekend getaway with Ryan next month!
Next Appointment: February 13th with my Midwife .
Milestones:his week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active ( Taken from babycenter.com).

13 Weeks!

How far along? 13 weeks
Weight gain/loss: -9 lbs.
Feeling: Hungry and tired.

Best moment this week: I am finally in 2nd trimester!
What I'm looking forward to: My first Midwife appointment tomorrow.

Milestones: Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce..(Taken from BabyCenter)

Week 12 (and 1 day) Check In

It's been a long time since I have updated.  All is going well!! I have been really sick with nausea and vomiting but feeling much better.  I am only vomiting every couple days and then I take a Zofran and everything is ok.  I will add my 12 week picture later is week!

How far along? 12 weeks 1 day

Weight gain/loss: -8lbs.
Feeling: Hungry and tired.
Maternity clothes? With the 8 lbs loss I'm still wearing pre-pregnancy jeans and a belt.  I just leave the button undone.  I am wearing maternity tops but I think that is because of my boobs.  My regular shirts are not long enough.
Sleep: I sleep from about 9:30 or 10pm until 10 am.  I am ok during the day as long as I sleep ok at night.  I am sleeping while I can!
Food cravings: Nothing yet.
Movement? No, too early.
What I miss? Nothing yet.
Best moment this week: I had an u/s last week and got to see baby moving around!
What I'm looking forward to: We have our laundry room torn apart doing a remodel (tile and paint).  It should be done this weekend.  I will be glad to get everything out of the living room!
Next Appointment: First Midwife appt. January 15th.
Milestones: The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.
Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce. (taken from BabyCenter.com)
